Tailored Assessment
Our Tailored Assessment Service (TAS) has been designed to provide a more bespoke assessment and assurance service. The TAS model allows Mandalorian to provide offerings beyond the boundaries of normal security testing.
Our TAS lab includes a variety of radio, electrical, analytical and process control equipment as well as dedicated forensics and hardware debugging kit. In addition to this, we also have advanced anti-biometrics testing equipment and a variety of tools useful for social engineering exercises. The TAS team includes experienced consultants with specialisms from reverse engineering to social engineering exercises. The services detailed below are examples of some of the work delivered through our TAS team, although our services are not limited to the below. Embedded Device Testing: The TAS team were engaged to assess a series of mobile devices from field engineer co-ordination systems to gaming equipment. In one test a consultant instructed someone who had never seen the device on how to compromise it within 45 seconds over the phone. On another engagement, consultants identified malware shipped with a hardware encrypted USB key that had been FIPS-140-2 certified.
Social Engineering: We believe that Mandalorian have a unique skillset in the commercial HUMINT space. As well as measuring board members’ exposure to identity theft via Internet-based resources, TAS consultants have physically penetrated the head offices of banks, profiled threat groups over social networks and presented research on social networking risks to H.M. Government policy advisers.
Wireless Security Testing: Our consultants have security assessment and research experience across a variety of wireless technologies. Our consultants have conducted research on DECT encryption algorithms, assessed 802.11 WiFi and Bluetooth networks and even found SQL injection vulnerabilities in Bluetooth-based communications applications. Our TAS team have extensively tested RFID implementations as well as electromagnetic induction systems.
All of our consultants are appropriately experienced and vetted to carry out the most sensitive of tailored assessment services.
